I wasn’t actually sure what value “cloud computing” is to bring into IT services when we already have taken software to service level.. but there was always had the over-sight of buying a service but not using it, which means you’re paying extra for something you’re not using.. and this is where “Cloud Computing” comes in to save your bucks. So in other words: it is a service where you “Pay As You Grow”.

A technical definition could be: Cloud computing is Internet- (“cloud-”) based development and use of computer technology (“computing”). In concept, it is a paradigm shift whereby details are abstracted from the users who no longer need knowledge of, expertise in, or control over the technology infrastructure “in the cloud” that supports them. It typically involves the provision of dynamically scalable and often virtualized resources as a service over the Internet.

Typical cloud computing providers deliver common business applications online which are accessed from a web browser, while the software and data are stored on the servers. These applications are broadly divided into the following categories:
- Software as a Service (SaaS),
- Utility Computing,
- Web Services,
- Platform as a Service (PaaS),
- Managed Service Providers (MSP),
- Service Commerce, and
- Internet Integration.

Here I would like to share one of the best explanation of “Cloud Computing” available over internet, do visit this video tutorial to understand what value this new idea of service can bring to reliable and cost-effective online services, .
